Tiny Trunk Show: some quilts in Bonnie’s “It’s a Small Quilt World” program
Barns and quilts were both featured at the Freeport (Maine) Historical Society’s 5th Annual Barns and Quilts Tour. Barn expert Don Perkins narrated the tours of 4 different barns, while I offered a look at several quilts at each location.
The ones shown here represent the “It’s a Small Quilt World” program available for quilt guilds, clubs, discussion groups, and historical societies. This trunk show includes doll quilts, baby quilts, and small wall quilts. The other three stops featured 19th Century quilts, early 20th Century quilts (including grain bag, or ‘feed sack’) quilts, as well as a few utility and ‘modern’ quilts in the Gee’s Bend style.
I am available to offer programs for interested groups. Information is available here.
