My multi-purpose sewing room/studio/office is in constant disarray. This seems to by my style. However, storage of several quilting rulers has long been a challenge – affecting efficiency. Without a storage system in place, locating, moving aside, and putting rulers away can be a frustrating waste of time. Hanging them on the wall seemed like my best option until the type of hooks I used proved unsatisfactory because they wouldn’t stay on the wall – and they stripped away wall paint upon removal. I came up with a solution but sat on the idea for months. Just this week I finally achieved my goal of securely hanging all my rulers – it required getting 2 pieces of trim wood cut to size, painting them to match the wall, nailing it to the wall, and installing finish nails at intervals to accommodate the rulers.. The time required was minimal; the reward is amazing! What took me so long?
