This 19th Century antique quilt was lurking among several run-of-the-mill, 2oth century quilts at a Williamsburg, VA antiques mall. It spoke to me! Not just ‘spoke.’ It YELLED!
Although I’m supposedly downsizing, this bargain was too good to pass up. It’s called a ‘touching stars’ design and was likely made along the mid-atlantic area before the Civil War.
This beauty has condition issues, but it has inspired me to assemble a star-themed lecture and trunk show. I’ll be featuring it soon on the programs page of my website. Stay tuned.
